By His Stripes came to me a little over a year after my grandmother passed away. My family planned to do a Relay for Life Walk in honor of her and the name By His Stripes came to me for our team's name. We ended up not participating in the walk, but By His Stripes never left my spirit. For years, the Lord has given me ideas on how to reach out to others based on His word. I allowed fear, overthinking and self- sabotage keep me on a hamster wheel of delay (let's call it what it was...disobeying God!). With much growth, I am learning to put all trust in God and letting Him lead the way. 

By HIS Stripes wants to serve as a reminder that Christ paid it all for us, so we wouldn't have to. Isaiah 53:5 tells us Jesus, the Son of God, was tormented for our iniquities so that we may have peace. And, By HIS Stripes (wounds) we are HEALED, SET FREE, DELIVERED, and FORGIVEN from guilt, hurt, shame... whatever we have done or have gone through. No matter what we may face in this life, God is more than able to get us through. We have to willingly accept Him, live for Him and trust that He has a great plan for our lives. “Salvation is achieved by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead.” - Romans 10:9 

Know that the Lord is faithful. His love is everlasting. Remember that we were created to worship (Exodus 20:3-4 1 Peter 2: 9-10). God wants a relationship with us. Invite Him into your life and rest in His presence. Meditate on His word (the Bible) and pray to Him daily. Be encouraged, never give up. You've got this journey we call life!
